The process of making:
(a) Basket
Melt the wax and color it yellow
pour the wax into the mold and wait for it to cool down completely.
b) petals
melt new wax and color it white
Pour the wax onto the mat, spreading it with a spoon.
Once the wax has set, cut out the petals with a cutter or knife (it takes about 15 pieces per flower).
give each petal a vein texture with a viner, heat the petals with a hair dryer if necessary.
bend each petal lengthwise at the base.
c) tinting
if desired, tint the perimeter of each basket with liquid dye.
d) assembly
glue the petals around the perimeter of the basket, pressing them from underneath with your fingers.
if desired, glue 5-6 more petals as a second row.
to securely fix the petals, pour a little hot wax on the mat and dip the bottom of each petal in it, then let the wax fully set.
glue the flowers to the candle in one of three ways:
pour a layer of wax over the candle
melt the top
drop some wax from a dropper into the places where the flowers are attached.
