stearin or microcrystalline wax
wax melter or water bath containers
silicone mat
bead stack (bulka)
spoon
knife
box cutter (scalpel)
wooden skewer
fat-soluble wax dye
wax wick
petal liner (you can use any liner with longitudinal veins that you have).

- dry pastels (if possible, it is recommended to buy pastels by Old Master, they are well pigmented)
- pastel, as in the lesson:
Open Open Europe: OpenPreparation:
The room should be warm, without a draft, work on a warm surface, so the wax will cool more slowly. If the tabletop is cold, you can put a towel, a wooden board or a heated mat under it.
Pour the wax and stearin in an amount of 10% of the wax volume into a wax melter or water bath container, then melt the mixture to a liquid state
Spread a mat, clean it from dust, if necessary, lubricate it with vegetable oil (optional).
Prepare all the tools in front of you
Preparation of wax:
To the melted wax add the yellow dye.
Stir the wax well to melt the dye.
Making process:
(a) Making the center:
Pour the melted wax on the mat, spreading it a little with a spoon, let it cool down.
Roll the warm wax into a ball
press the ball to the table in such a way that a flat side in the form of a cap is formed
make holes in the cap with a wooden skewer or the back of a brush.
b) making stamens:
pour hot wax onto the mat, spreading it thinly with a spoon, let it cool down a bit
using a knife or a scalpel, cut out a fence of stamens
twist the stamens around the center.
c) cutting out the petals:
melt new wax and add coloring if desired
pour the melted wax onto the mat, not spreading it too much with a spoon.
Cut out the petals with the help of cutters, the first three sizes 5-6 petals each and the largest 12-16 petals.
with the help of a viner give texture to the petals, for softening you can use a hair dryer or candle/ burner flame.
round the petals a bit with a stack.
d) tinting:
turn some dry pastel into crumbs
with a damp brush apply pigment to the petal, tint the edge and veins.
e) assembling the bud:
insert a wooden skewer into the center of the middle of the petal
glue the petals of the first row in a circle, the petals should be approximately at the same level as the stamens.
glue the petals of the second row in a circle, this row should be slightly higher than the previous one.
after each row, if necessary, level the bottom with a hot knife.
glue the petals of the third row in a circle, these petals should lean more to the side, that is, the tips of the petals do not look up, but diagonally.
glue the next row of petals, these petals should be placed in such a way that their tips are directed almost parallel to the table.
glue the next row of petals in the same way as the previous one.
if desired, you can glue a few more petals where, in your opinion, they are missing.
final alignment of the bottom of the candle
(e) Wick:
carefully create a hole for the wick with a skewer
insert the wick
