Tulip
To create the candle you will need:
bleached beeswax (≈60-80 g)
wax melter or water bath containers
silicone mat
spoon
knife or stationery knife (scalpel)
fat-soluble wax dye
spooled wick
Europe:
Openconstruction hair dryer
petal weiner (there are many different tulip weiners on the Internet, choose the one you like best).
the liner from the lesson: https://share.temu.com/DdptaHHYUsA
leaf liner
Europe:
Openpaints (acrylic, gouache or tempera)
dry pastel

fine synthetic brush
Preparation:
The room should be warm, without a draft, work on a warm surface so the wax will cool more slowly. If the countertop is cold, you can place a towel, wooden board or heated mat underneath.
Pour the wax into a wax melter or water bath container and melt it to a liquid state
Spread the mat, clean it from dust, if necessary, lubricate it with vegetable oil (optional).
Prepare all the tools in front of you
Preparation of wax:
To the melted wax, add colorant. The amount depends on the desired color. If you want to achieve a bright shade, use a well-pigmented dye, as adding an excessive amount may make the wax more brittle.
Stir the wax well to melt the dye.
Making process:
(a) Stem:
spread the green colored wax on the mat and let it cool slightly
Cut out a rectangle of 18x9 cm from the slightly cooled wax.
cut the wick and twist it into the wax, pressing the layers of wax tightly so that there is no space between them.
smooth the seam
b) leaf:
spread the green wax over the mat and let it cool slightly
Cut out the leaf with a knife, if necessary use a viner as a stencil; if you have a cutter in your kit, use it.
use the liner to give the leaf the texture of the veins.
c) Petals:
melt new wax and color it to match the color of the future petals
spread the wax on the mat and let it cool slightly
use a knife to cut out 6 petals, if necessary use a viner as a stencil; if you have a cutter in your kit, use it.
use the viner to give texture to the petals, if necessary, heat the petals with a hair dryer or over a candle flame.
d) petal attachment pad:
spread some wax on the mat and let it cool slightly
cut out a rectangle 1 cm wide and wrap it around the top of the stem, glue as many rectangles to form an area suitable for gluing the petals on
e) pistil:
wrap a small amount of wax around the wick, forming a pistil about 1.5-2 cm high
f) stamens:
cut out 5-6 rectangles 3-4 mm wide and 1.5-2 cm long
dip each stamen in hot wax 5-6 times with small breaks so that the wax on the stamen has time to harden.
glue the stamens around the pistil
g) tinting:
color the stamens yellow with paint
color the petals with pastel or paint
h) assembling the tulip:
dip the edge of the petal into the wax and glue it on, smoothing and pressing it well; glue the first 3 petals in a circle in this way
glue the remaining 3 petals as follows: heat the bottom edge of the petal with a hair dryer or flame to melt the wax slightly at the base.
press the petal well with your fingers, spreading the wax over the stem; make sure the wax on the petal and stem are visually fused; if necessary, use a scalpel to remove excess wax.
glue the remaining petals in the same manner
glue the leaf onto the stem, warming it beforehand
