What you’ll need:

1) Pillar (mold) wax
If your container wax holds its shape and isn’t too soft, it can work as well.
2) Melt molds (silicone or plastic clamshells)
3) Fragrance oil (for candles)
4) Thermometer (probe)
5) Melting setup: double boiler (one pot for water, one for wax) or a thermostatic wax melter; plus two pouring pots
6) Small beaker for easier, more precise pouring
7) Pipette (if you’ll pour small melts with different inclusions)
8) Dye (optional)
9) Glitter / shimmer / mica (optional)
10) Spoon or spatula for stirring
11) Jewelry scale

Note: In the video we also cover melts with glitter and marbled melts.
WAX MELTS

In this lesson we’ll look at the process of making wax melts.

They release fragrance for up to 8 hours, after which the wax should be replaced.
To remove the wax from the warmer, first let it harden completely, then briefly turn the warmer on.
Once the dish warms slightly, the wax will lift out easily; wipe any residue with a tissue.
